We're looking for two lovely, customer-focused individuals to join our small team at The Duck House in Brighton. If you're passionate about helping people and thrive in a supportive environment surrounded by colourful rubber ducks, we'd love to hear from you!

 

About the Role:

We're ideally looking for candidates with previous customer-facing experience and a friendly, welcoming disposition that fits our brand. Being comfortable with technology is a bonus, as you'll be helping us keep our online stock updated and process online orders.

Starting:

Mid-end of September 2025

 

Hours: 

Part time (negotiable but around 2 - 3 shifts per week)

 

What the Work Day Involves:

  • Sales and providing excellent customer service

  • Welcoming and helping customers find their perfect duck

  • Restocking shelves and maintaining a tidy shop floor

  • Handling till and card payments

  • Answering shop phone calls professionally

  • Updating stock online and processing online orders

  • Gift wrapping purchases with care

 

We Are Looking for Someone Who Is:

  • Comfortable conversing with customers both in person and over the phone

  • Attentive and observant

  • Warm and friendly to both customers and other staff members

Our team is genuinely warm, supportive, and collaborative. We pride ourselves on fostering a respectful and encouraging work environment where everyone feels valued. Our customer base is a wonderful and unique bunch of people of all ages – they tend to walk in with a smile on their face, and it's hard not to when surrounded by our colourful rubber ducks!

 

Current Shop Opening Times

Monday - Friday:

10.00 am - 5.00pm
 

Saturday:

10.00 am - 6.00pm
 

Sunday:

11.00 am - 5.00pm

Interview

This will be a casual chat at our shop with one of our staff members. The purpose is for us to get to know each other, talk through the role in more detail, and answer any questions you may have.
